Simply stated, green building is a process of trying to optimize the resource utilization, health and efficiency of a building while minimizing waste and its negative impacts.  At Bend Trend Homes, we are committed to this process.  We are currently building homes under the "Oregon High Performance Home (HPH)" and Earth Advantage® criteria.  The HPH criteria dictate ungraded insulation values in ceilings, walls, floors, windows and doors along with high performance HVAC and water heating.  In addition, the homes incorporate one or  more renewable energy systems such as photovoitaic, solar hot water heating, active and passive solar heating, or ground surface heat pump.  The HPH is also Earth Advantage® certified, adding the benefits of resource conservation and indoor air quality.
